Thompson Valley Disposal (TVD) is a Central BC–owned and operated Waste and Recycling Service Provider supporting industrial operations across the Thompson-Okanagan, Coastal, and Interior regions since 2004. With over two decades of experience, TVD delivers reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible recycling and disposal solutions tailored to large-scale industrial requirements.
Our modern fleet of long-haul B-Train roll-off trailers, supported by an inventory of more than 100 waste bins, allows us to transport materials cost-effectively throughout BC and Alberta while maximizing payloads and reducing emissions. Our roll-off trucks are equipped with Phase 2 Greenhouse Gas Emission–compliant engines, improving fuel efficiency and lowering overall environmental impact across our operations. This specialized logistics capacity enables high-frequency service with fewer truck trips, reduced fuel consumption, and a smaller greenhouse-gas footprint—providing measurable sustainability benefits for our clients.

Large commercial bins are ideal for large projects, dirt hauling, and heavy disposal applications. Each bin is equipped with a rear access door, allowing for easy loading without the need to lift materials over the sides. We offer the following large dumpster rentals:

These bins are designed for easy access in tight spaces and are well suited for placement in back alleys, condominiums, and apartment complexes. We offer the below small and medium dumpster rentals:
Since 2021, Thompson Valley Disposal has been a licensed LT transporter of Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM). Serving both private and public-sector clients, TVD provides safe, reliable, and efficient asbestos transportation and disposal services throughout Kamloops and beyond. By strictly following Ministry of Environment and WorkSafeBC regulations, we ensure full compliance and safety at every stage of asbestos handling. TVD has successfully transported and disposed of ACM for a diverse range of customers across British Columbia.
Thompson Valley Disposal operates specialized transport units designed to safely haul bulk materials at maximum legal capacity across BC and Western Canada. Our fleet is configured for efficient long-haul transportation of materials including food-waste organics, asbestos-containing materials, mulch, decorative rock, soil, and compost. These specialized units allow us to reduce transportation costs, improve efficiency, and provide reliable large-volume hauling solutions for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients.

As a locally owned and operated business based in Kamloops, Thompson Valley Disposal is committed to building respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, while recognizing and honoring their rights and interests. TVD collaborates with Indigenous partners across the Thompson–Nicola Regional District through revenue-sharing and community give-back programs that support local economic participation.
Today, we maintain three active partnerships with three different Indigenous communities, collectively covering a large geographic area across Central British Columbia. Each project we undertake carries a defined economic and social responsibility to the communities in which we operate. We are committed to continuously learning, listening, and educating ourselves as part of our ongoing reconciliation efforts.
These partnerships are built on shared values and a mutual commitment to delivering sustainable, community-focused waste management solutions. Together, we support industries, municipalities, and residents through waste collection, transportation, diversion, and recycling services—creating long-term environmental, social, and economic benefits

TVD and the SEDC celebrate their partnership in Waste Management in Kamloops, BC.

Each year, TVD transports and disposes of more than 15,000 metric tonnes of household waste, construction debris, recyclables, wood waste, asphalt, concrete, hazardous materials, and other source-separated materials to municipal and private landfills and recycling facilities throughout the Thompson-Nicola Regional District. We work closely with customers to promote proper recycling practices, including the separation of recoverable materials from general waste.
Our long-term objective is to reduce methane generation at landfills by diverting recyclable and recoverable materials from disposal. We are proud to play a key role in keeping our communities clean while supporting transparent, responsible waste-management practices.
